The Accelerator is a two-stage, variable-speed impact breaker that fractures coal. This patented impact breaker is designed to improve the quality of raw coal with significantly reduced processing costs.

The variable-speed Accelerator is adjusted to fracture coal without breaking the less friable non-coal impurities.

Inside the machine, raw coal is scalped and propelled against two sets of impact grids. The operator fine-tunes the impact velocity to break the coal but not the rock simply by turning a dial. The sized coal is then easily separated from the larger rock by secondary screening.

The beauty of the Accelerator is the ease of maintenance, and the flexibility of coal breakage to separate it from pyrite.
